What Are Glock Magazines Made Of?
They are made of plastic and steel. The body (tube) is made of steel covered with plastic. The spring is steel. The follower, floor plate and insert are plastic. For more information about each part, hover and click on each part in the exploded view diagram.
Glock Magazine Cleaning Instructions
No special cleaning solutions are required to clean the parts. An old toothbrush, q-tips, paper towels and soap and water are all that is needed. Most any household cleaning solution will do as well. I found that Windex makes the job fast and eay and does a great job. Just be sure to thoroughly dry each part before you put the magazine back together. DO NOT LUBRICATE THE MAGAZINE PARTS. Any type of lubricant will only attract dirt and grime and "dirty up" your Glock magazine faster.
