Glock 19 Extended Slide Stop Lever Review

Glock 19 Extended Slide Stop Lever
The Glock Extended Slide Release installed on a Glock 19 really makes releasing the slide a breeze. It's over 3mm longer than the standard slide release but not large enough to snag on a holster of clothing. With my hands, I thought I would never be able to release the slide one-handed. To my surprise and delight it was easy. The little extension really does make a big difference.

Step 3:
Push out the roll pin on the side of the receiver. It's the bigger and lower one on the left side, just above the trigger (You don't have to use much force to remove the pin. The spring retains the pin so all you have to do is wiggle the slide stop with your right hand and push the pin in with your tool in the left hand.) |

Step 4:
Observe the placement and position of the slide stop Lever. Look specifically at the location of the forward prong (spring) of the slide stop lever (the part with the hole in it). |

Step 5:
Slowly pull out (back and upwards) the old Slide Stop Lever. While you are here you might as well clean the frame where the stop lever is installed with a Q-tip. |

Compare the old Slide Stop Lever with the new one to make sure they are identical with the exception of the larger stop/grip. |
