Glock Firing Pin Assembly - Warning

Don't attempt to take apart and reassemble the Glock firing pin assembly unless you really  have to. It can be a bear to put back together unless you have a helper to assist you or you have strong fingers and are able to manipulate small objects well.

COMPRESS FIRING PIN ASSEMBLY SPRING

The spring must be compressed to make space between the end of the spring and the collar of the firing pin head to allow you to remove the two little half cups (firing pin cups) that hold the spring to the firing pin.

RE-ASSEMBLY

THE HARD PART - INSTALLING THE GLOCK SPRING CUPS

- This is where an assistant could help. -

BE CAREFUL IN THIS STEP. The spring cups can go flying and get lost quite easily.

Position the parts as shown on the edge of a table or countertop. Don't grab the top of the spring but close enough to the top to allow you to compress the spring to make room to let you install the Glock spring cups. It's easier to install the first cup, then rotate it around the shaft of the firing to make room for the second cup.
