FIELD STRIP THE GLOCK

Field strip the Glock per Glock Field Strip Instructions.

REMOVE THE GLOCK TRIGGER PIN

Using a punch, from the left side of the frame, pop out the Glock Trigger Pin. The Glock trigger pin is the shortest of the three pins found in the pistol. The pin is located on the upper grip and is furthest back.

REMOVE THE GLOCK LOCKING BLOCK PIN

Using a punch, from the left side of the frame, pop out the Glock Locking Block Pin. Picture shows right side of Glock after pin has been pushed out. The Glock locking block pin is the highest pin on the Glock and is located above the trigger.

REMOVE THE GLOCK TRIGGER HOUSING PIN

Using a punch, from the left side of the frame pop out the Glock Trigger Housing Pin. The pin will come out easier if you move the slide back and forth while pushing on the pin. The Glock trigger housing pin is the pin with the largest diameter and is located immediately above the trigger.

REMOVE THE GLOCK LOCKING BLOCK

Use a screwdriver or punch, pry out and remove the Glock Locking Block.

  1. Get underneath the Glock locking block and pry it up with a tool.

  2. You can pull it all the way out with your fingers.

  3. Glock locking block shown in relative position.

  4. Glock locking block removed.

REMOVE THE GLOCK TRIGGER ASSEMBLY

  1. Grab the extractor and carefully pull up on it to remove the trigger assembly.

  2. Glock trigger assembly partially removed.

  3. Glock trigger assembly removed.

DISASSEMBLE THE GLOCK TRIGGER ASSEMBLY

To take apart the (1)Glock trigger assembly, disconnect the (2)Glock Trigger With Trigger Bar from the (3)Glock Trigger Mechanism Housing With Ejector. It may require some twisting and turning to get it off. Be careful not to stretch the spring or damage the parts.

DISASSEMBLE THE GLOCK TRIGGER MECHANISM HOUSING WITH EJECTOR

Remove the Glock Connector and Trigger Spring from the Glock Trigger Mechanism Housing With Ejector. Gently pry off the connector with a flat head screw driver. Do not damage the plastic. You can also gently push it from the slot in in back side.

GLOCK TRIGGER PARTS CLEANING

Clean all removed parts. DO NOT OIL THE PARTS AFTER CLEANING. Oil will just make them a magnet for dirt/contaminants. While all the trigger assembly components are removed why not do a Glock Trigger Job (polishing certain parts to make the trigger smoother)?
