Removing The GLOCK TRIGGER
 
 


GLOCK TRIGGER ASSEMBLY

Exploded view of the trigger assembly parts.




FIELD STRIP THE GLOCK

Field strip per procedure Glock Field Strip Instructions.
 

REMOVE THE FIRING PIN & FIRING PIN SAFETY

Remove the firing pin and safety from the slide per procedure Glock Slide Disassembly & Cleaning.

DISASSEMBLE THE FIRING PIN ASSEMBLY

Disassemble the firing pin assembly into it's component parts per  procedure Glock Firing Pin Assembly Disassembly & Assembly Instructions.

REMOVE THE TRIGGER ASSEMBLY

Remove the assembly per procedure Glock Trigger Removal & Installation Instructions.

DISASSEMBLE THE TRIGGER ASSEMBLY INTO COMPONENT PARTS

Break the assembly down into it's component parts per procedure Glock Trigger Removal & Installation Instructions.

Polishing GLOCK TRIGGER PARTS

 

POLISH THE GLOCK FIRING PIN SAFETY

Polish the upper surface only of the firing pin safety as shown in red.




Polish the two surfaces of the firing pin as shown in red.

Clean, reassemble and re-install the firing pin and safety per procedures Firing Pin Assembly Disassembly & Assembly Instructions and Slide Disassembly & Cleaning.

 

 

POLISH THE CONNECTOR

Polish the surfaces of the Connector as shown within the red box.

- For Reduced Trigger Pull -
Replace the factory connector (5.5 pound) with a 3.5 pound connector.

POLISH THE TRIGGER BAR

Polish the three different surfaces of the trigger bar as shown. Basically you want to smooth out and polish those surfaces that come into contact with other parts. Caution - do not remove any of the metal, just polish the surface smooth.

 

 

CLEANING The Trigger Parts

Clean all removed parts. DO NOT OIL THE PARTS AFTER CLEANING. Oil will just make them a magnet for dirt and contaminants.

 

Re-ASSEMBLing The Trigger
