Reloading 9mm Luger Ammunition Cases
My friend and I reload our own ammunition for shooting pistols at the range. I reload only 9mm Luger and he reloads 9mm luger, 380 ACP and .45 ACP. Over the past few years we must have reloaded roughly 18,000 rounds each. 95% of our reloading is for 9mm Luger for use in our Glock 17, Glock 19 and Glock 26 pistols. See our Ammunition Reloading Page.
Reloading Recipe For 9mm Luger
All my 9mm reloads over the past two years were made from range pickup cases, Wolf primers and 115 gr round nose jacketed bullets. The powder used was Hodgdon Titegroup smokeless powder. All reloads fired without problem. This is the recipe we both use. It seems to work OK (over 30,000 reloads made and fired).
Bullets: 115 grains jacketed
TiteGroup powder: 4.6 grains
Overall Length: 1.155” +/- 0.003”

Response - Bob,
The length of the slide of your gun shouldn't make any
difference with regard to your powder load. A proper 9 mm luger
reload should shoot in any 9 mm luger gun. If your gun was
shooting properly before your modification but not after, I
would suspect something is wrong with the modification. I would
first verify that your modified gun works well with different
types of factory ammo first. If it does, then look into your
reloading recipe. I cannot tell you how high to go on your
powder load. Good luck,
Tanner
Reply - Thank you for the info. Tried it and it
seemed to work.
