TARGET PRACTICE

 

Target Practice Drill #1 - Accuracy

Shooting with both eyes open and two hands.

Practice to increase accuracy. Put one round in each row of the circles at 10 feet without missing. When you succeed without missing, increase distance 5 feet.

 

Target Practice Drill #2- Accuracy

Shooting with both eyes open and two hands.

Practice to increase accuracy. Shoot the colored dot decal until it's gone. When you succeed, increase distance 5 feet.

 

Target Practice Drill #3 - Target Acquisition

Practice to increase how fast you sight your target. Same as above but shoot each shot as fast as you can from the ready position.

 

Target Practice Drill #4 - Determine Your Best Pistol Grip

Aim and shoot at the target while squeezing the gun as hard as you can. Repeat at half strength, then again holding it very loosely. Determine which is best for you.

 

Target Practice Drill #5 - Breath Control

Aim and shoot at the target while practicing Breath Control.

 

Target Practice Drill #6 - Long Distance Shooting

5 shots at 50 feet. 5 shots at 40 feet. 5 shots at 30 feet.

 

 

SELF DEFENSE SHOOTING DRILLS

Practice Point Shooting and Aiming for each of the following self defense drills.

 

Self Defense Shooting Drill #1 - Zombie Shooting Game

Zombie Shooting Game - Zombie Head Shot.
35 feet to 10 feet. 2 zombies, 2 brain shots each.
VARIATIONS
- Pick up gun from bench. Gun ready to shoot.
- Rack slide.
- Insert magazine.
- Simulated jam.

 

Self Defense Shooting Drill #2 - Bad Guy Shooting Target

BUY TARGET AT RANGE
3 Quick Shots. Use Different Guns.
- Shoot bad guy target at 10 feet, 15 feet, 25 feet and 50 feet.
- Running bad guy starting 20 feet away, stops at 5 feet, 3 rapid fire shots.

 

Self Defense Shooting Drill #3 - Bad Guy Shooting Target

BUY TARGET AT RANGE
3 Quick Shots. Use Different Guns.
- Shoot bad guy target at 10 feet, 15 feet, 25 feet and 50 feet.
- Running bad guy starting 20 feet away, stops at 5 feet, 3 rapid fire shots.

 

Self Defense Shooting Drill #4 - Various Shooting Drills


(Paper Plate)
- 45 degree angle shooting (left & right)
- Turn target side wards. Turn forward, time 5 seconds of shooting, turn side wards. How many bullets hit the target.
- One dummy round in 5. Shoot all five at target. Eject and recover from the dummy round.
- One handed shooting. (Aiming & Point shooting)
- Two handed shooting. (Aiming & Point shooting)
- In close shooting (one handed & two handed)
- Shooting from hip (left & right)
- Blind shooting (one handed & two handed) 

Self Defense Shooting Drill #5 - 4 Small Paper Plate


(4 Small Paper Plates)
4 plates. Shooters shoot against each other. Competition timed. 2 shots in each plate. Fastest time wins.
