Shooting Guns At The Range Lowers Blood Pressure?

What effect does shooting a gun at the range have on your blood pressure? Will it increase or decrease after a shooting session. I did my own quick little test to see what effect shooting guns had on my blood pressure.

I started my test by measuring my blood pressure at home immediately before going to the range. I again measured it in the range parking lot (before shooting), in the parking lot (after shooting), upon my arrival at home and a few hour later at home. The results are as follows.

 

CONDITION		BLOOD PRESSURE
When I first woke up		LOW
Before going to the range (at home)		BORDERLINE
In the range parking lot (before)		HIGH
In the range parking lot (after)		BORDERLINE
Upon arrival at home		NORMAL

 

MY CONCLUSION

The anticipation of shooting guns causes blood pressure to rise. Blood pressure quickly returns to normal after the shooting session is over.
