HKS 36 Speed Loader

I own three types of speed loaders for my  357 Smith & Wesson revolver. I have a HKS Revolver Speedloader, a Safariland speed loader and a Bianchi speed strip. Of all three, my favorite and easiest to use at home or at the range is the HKS 36 speed loader.  The quality of the product is very good. The knurled finger grip allows easy twisting to release the rounds into the cylinder chambers of the revolver. The black plastic body of the speed loader which holds the rounds of ammunition has is grooved to provide a non slip service and which is good for gripping.

Loading the speed loader with five rounds of ammunition is very easy. You simply hold the speed loader in an upright position and place the rounds in their respective holes. With a left hand twist of the aluminum knob, the rounds are locked into place. Using the speed loader is just as easy. You simply align then insert the rounds into the revolver's cylinder then twist the aluminum knob to the right to release. The rounds falls into their respective cylinder chambers and you're ready to go.

RECOMMENDATION

Recommended. I found the HKS 36 to be a quality product that works every time.

THE GOOD
Well designed  -  Well made  -  Works every time  - Simple to use

THE BAD
Cumbersome to carry in a pocket (for concealed carry I would use speed strips)
