What Does Decap Mean? (Reloading Ammunition)

Decap or decapping is the process of removing the primer from the primer pocket of a casing. Decapping is usually done in a reloading press by a decapping pin. Using the force of the reloading press the primer is pushed out of the pocket by the pin.
