What Does Deprime Mean? (Reloading Ammunition)
Depriming (decapping) is the process of removing the primer from the primer pocket of a casing. Depriming is usually done in a reloading press by a decapping pin. Using the force of the reloading press the primer is pushed out of the pocket by the decapping pin.
