What Is A Frangible Bullet?
A frangible bullet is a bullet that is designed to break into tiny particles as it strikes a target that has a surface harder than the bullet itself. Because they fragment into smaller pieces, these bullets have reduced penetration and are therefore used to limit the danger behind the intended target and to avoid ricochets. Frangible bullets are often used for home defense because they do not penetrate drywall or other such barriers.
