Wolf Small Pistol Primers

I have reloaded approximately 10,000 rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition using Wolf small pistol primers. I purchased the Wolf primers because they were available and cheaper than other primers.

Cost of Wolf Small Pistols Primers

The nice thing about these primers is their cost. They are cheapest primers (or at least were the cheapest when I bought them) you can buy.

Reloading Wolf Small Pistol Primers

Reloading these small pistol primers is no different than loading any other primer. I have noticed more little bits of metal shavings left on the press after the primer is pressed into the pocket hole.

Shooting Wolf Small Pistol Primers

Shooting these small pistol primers is just like any other except you may experience an occasional failure. All you have to do is shoot that round again and it will likely fire.

Are Wolf Primers Reliable?

After having fired over 10,000 rounds of 9mm Luger reloads I have found tese primers to be very reliable.

Should You Buy Wolf Primers?

The short answer is yes. If you reload for target practice at the range, then having an occasional failure is not big deal.

Wolf Primers Were Hard & Sometimes Did Not Fire

March 3, 2012
I just want to say that I use the Lee 4place turret and the Lee pro 1000, I reload 38spcl, 357Mag, 9mm, 45ACP, and .223, I have used remington, cci, winchester, federal, Magtech and also wolf, I get misfires on remington small pistol and small rifle, the wolf primers that I purchased were so hard that it would sometimes not fire due to that fact, I tried to fire it in my FNP-9 and Ruger p95, and also in a Taurus PT99. so I will not use it for fear of firing pin damage. I have had very good success with both accuracy and consistency with the CCI and Winchester, I use Titegroup with 9MM great powder, H110 in 357 Mag, and IMR 700 in the 45 ACP, I use Hodgden H335 in .223, the military has used this powder as well. Good info on your site here, keep up the good work.
