Trimming Your Dog's Claws

Cutting the nails or claws of your dog can be a very difficult chore. I don't know about you, but all my dogs didn't like it very much when I would grab their paw and try to clip one of their nails. You might get away with clipping the first one, but good luck with all the rest.

I've tried a clipping my dogs nails with a variety of nail and claw clippers, I've tried gently standing them down with sandpaper, filing them down with a file and emery board and found and found that none of these techniques work for me or my dog.

The Best Method Of Trimming Your Dog's Claws

It turns out the best method to trim your dog's clause is also the easiest and the most enjoyable. Simply get a ball and throw it for him to chase, but do it on a concrete surface. The rough texture of the concrete will act as sandpaper and naturally grind down his claws to the proper length while both of you are having fun. In addition to naturally trimming his claws you are getting healthy exercise for both you and your dog and enjoying quality time.

This method of dog claw trimming may take a number of days to get his clause trimmed to where they should be, but it is by far the easiest and most enjoyable way to trim his nails.
