What Is A Glock Extractor Depressor Plunger?

 
The Glock Extractor Depressor Plunger is a spring loaded steel rod withing the slide. It's function is to push against the extractor to give the extractor it's "spring" tension.

Maintenance

Replacement Interval

The Glock Extractor Depressor Plunger should require no maintenance other than periodic cleaning and inspection. Inspect and clean every 5,000 rounds (or best judgement). Do not lubricate the Glock Extractor Depressor Plunger. The Glock Extractor Depressor Plunger should last the life of the gun and should never need to be replaced.
