What Is A Glock Extractor?

 
The Glock Extractor is a small spring loaded hooked mechanism that grabs onto the rim of a spent cartridge and removes (extracts) it from the chamber of the gun.

To remove the Glock Extractor you must first field strip the gun, then disassemble the slide, then disassemble the Glock Extractor assembly to get to the extractor.

Maintenance

Replacement Interval

The Glock Extractor should require no maintenance other than periodic cleaning and inspection. Inspect and clean every 5,000 rounds (or best judgement). The Glock Extractor should last the life of the gun and should never need to be replaced.
