What Are Glock Spring Cups?

 
The Glock Spring Cups are two black plastic "half cups" that when installed on the firing pin, restrain the front end of the firing pin spring.

To remove the Glock Spring Cups you must first field strip the gun, then disassemble the slide, then disassemble the Glock Spring Cups assembly to get to the actual Glock Spring Cups. Procedures for performing those tasks are..

Maintenance

Replacement Interval

The Glock Spring Cups should require no maintenance other than periodic cleaning and inspection. Inspect and clean Glock Spring Cups every 5,000 rounds (or best judgement). Do not lubricate Glock Spring Cups. The Glock Spring Cups should last the life of the gun and should not need to be replaced, unless they show wear or damage.
